Lefordítottam én is, de azt érzem, hogy tök hülyeség lett az egész, főleg az eleje az a trópusokon termelődő ültetvényes valami:D

The ipilipil tree is one of the fastest growing trees in the world - it can reach í height of four metres in only six month. It comes from the rainforests of Central-America but is now being grown in plantations all over the topics to produce fuel wood - or biofuel, the name for fuel from plants.

Of course people have always burned wood for fuel. But the ipilipil tree is not used on home fires. It is burned to produce electricity. In the Philippines plantations of ipilipil trees have been planted around power stations. Instead of importing expensive foreign oil, this poor Asian country can now produce electricity on its own. In addition, it saves the natural forest: people do not need to chop down trees for fuel it they have electricity.

That is not the end of the ipilipil story, however. This amazing plant has many more uses. Is leaves are rich in protein and contain more vitamin A than any other plant. When the trees are cut down, the leaves are used to feed animals. A type of coffee can be made from the seed pods and they can be used to dye clothes.
