A different way of air travel

Low-cost airlines appeared in the United States in the 80's, but now they are present on every continent of the world.

Seeing its American success, Europe had set a need for its own budget airways. The first was Ryanair in the United Kingdom. After its launch its routes were pretty scarce. They offered domestic flights between cities of Britain. By the time it has collected enough profit to grow further, it expended to the East. In the middle of 90's Ryanair met some European competitors, like Easyjet or Skyeurope.

The reason for their permanent success is their very low fares. They are Cost-efficient and use special networking to keep expanses low. They do not contract any travel agencies to sell tickets but, in stead, use on-line booking and call centres. They offer the most jammed seats as you can conceive, they do not serve any complimentary food or drink during the flight either. They land on less frequented airports which are farther from city centres, and they run only a single model of aircraft which facilitates their maintenance.

If you do not mind that your flight is not as comfortable as you were sitting on a plane of one of the a national airlines, just go ahead and try one of the several no-frills airlines available.
